  2. Select MasterPlex License Manager from the pull-down menu and click Proceed
  3. Please note the Machine ID in this window as it is specific to the computer and is required when requesting for your license file.
  4. Next, please note the Validation Code that is included in the documentation or email when you purchased your software. If you made your purchase online, you will most likely receive your Validation Code via email. Otherwise, your Validation Code will be mailed to you along with the software package.
  5. Once you have your Machine ID and Validation Code squared away, please use our Product Registration Form to request for your license file.
    • License type – Select the Network radio button.
    • # of Concurrent Users – Choose the number of concurrent users based on the number of Validation Codes you have purchased. You will only have to specify 1 Validation Code because they will all be linked in our system

    1. Make sure that you have administrative privileges when installing the license. You may need to contact your IT department to ask for assistance with this.
    2. Make sure that the Machine ID originated from the same computer that contains the MasterPlex Network License Manager and not one of the client computers. Also, double check that the machine ID is correct. Note that the “0″ may look like an “O” but there is no letter “O” in the machine ID. Please resubmit for another license if you have reported an incorrect machine ID.
    3. Make sure you have submitted the request for the correct software version. Please resubmit for another license if you have reported an incorrect version number.

New update for MasterPlex 2010 just released with more powerful competitive binding curve fits and more

A new free update for MasterPlex 2010 has just been released with some powerful new features that make it that much easier to do curve fitting with MasterPlex. If you are a current customer, please download the installer (QT download link, ReaderfFit download link, EX download link) and launch it to do the upgrade. Here is the list of new features and changes by module:

MasterPlex ReaderFit

  • Improve 0 Standard Handling – If the user indicates a zero standard, MasterPlex will automatically use it to define the limits of the curve. This is especially useful in defining the upper limits of the curve for competitive binding assays.
  • New Calculation on Control Wells – When Control Groups are indicated as the sample type, users can now enter expected values for them and see the residual and % recovery calculations for the control samples.
    New Control Group Calculations
New Residual and % Recovery Calculations for Control Groups
  • Failed QC Column in View Results tab – The data table in the View Results tab now has a new data field called QC Flags which display why samples have failed the Quality Control Manager.
    QC Manager Failed Data
  • Templates for Quality Control Manager – The MasterPlex templating system is available for the QC Manager to allow users to quickly load up previously used QC thresholds for quick time-savings and consistent analyses.
  • Glide Feature for Curve – Glide along the curve and get instant x and y values for any point on the curve.
    Glide Feature for Curve Fits
  • Real-time Status Updates on Calculations – To further improve data integrity, there are status updates now to remind users that they have made changes that affect the calculated values (i.e. edited dilution factors, marked outliers) and that a re-calculation is required.
    Real-time Calculation Status Updates
  • LLOD and ULOD Values Now Displayed – The LLOD and ULOD values in the Quality Control Manager are now displayed
  • LLOD and ULOD Display in the QC Manager

MasterPlex QT

  • Improved Support for Meso Scale Discovery Compatibility – There is improved support for the MSD platform export data file.
