MicroPlex-xTAG SNP analysis Microspheres coupled with the Luminex® xMAP Platform and MasterPlex® GT Genotyping Software provide a complete system for quick, productive and cost-efficient SNP genotyping and haplotyping.

With the SNP Consortium publishing over 1.8 million known SNPs, SNPs are quickly becoming the preferred genetic markers for identification of disease genes, pharmacogenomics, and medical diagnostics. MicroPlex xTAG Microspheres coupled with the Luminex xMAP Platform and MasterPlex GT Genotyping Software provide a complete system for the quick, productive and cost-efficient SNP genotyping and haplotyping.

 

MicroPlex-xTAG Microspheres increase the speed of analysis and simplify the bead assay by eliminating the need to couple universal capture oligonucleotides to beads. Each of the 100 individual bead sets has a unique 24-base oligonucleotide ("anti-tag") attached. In addition, each of these attached anti-tags is isothermal, optimized to reduce cross-hybridization, and designed to maximize secondary structure stability.
