FMBIO®
The FMBIO Fluorescence Scanners are extremely powerful and versatile systems. The FMBIO III and III Plus systems provide the largest scanning areas available and utilizes the newest optical designs for up to 3 solid state lasers providing very high sensitivity. The FMBIO is a laser-based imaging system with multi-color fluorescence detection. The FMBIO produces high-resolution, multi-color, multiplexed images. The instrument can be used for a wide range of applications including genotyping, differential display, mutation discovery and detection, human identification, Southern blot, microarrays, ELISA, homogeneous assays and more. This system is also compatible with a wide variety of gel, membrane, microplate and microarray-based techniques. One scan allows for simultaneous extraction of dual wavelengths leading to efficiency improvements in analysis. StrengthsSimultaneous Capture of Dual Wavelengths to Enable Efficiency Improvements in AnalysisEquipped with two sets of detectors, one scan enables the simultaneous capture of two different wavelengths. This allows for various types of multi-analysis to be done efficiently and effectively. Multicolor Lasers Allows for the Detection of a Wide Range of Dyeing ReagentsIn addition to the 532nm laser, a 635nm laser is included as a standard feature, expanding the possible wavelength detection range. Add the 488nm laser support (optional feature) to enable the detection of an even wider range of wavelengths and dyes.
Compatible with a Wide Variety of SampleTypes and Media
Capture is possible not only from polyacrylamide gels and agrose gels, but also from membrane filters as well. The FMBIO also supports media such as TLC plates and microtiter plates and it is optimal for various types of fixed quantity analysis.
Enables Highly Sensitive CapturesThe rich development history behind the FMBIO-100 coupled with the company's own patented detection optical systems, enables the ability for highly sensitive captures. Patent examples: 1827108, utility patent 8-3481, utility patent 8-14571, 2012733, 2516112, 2516115,2051538, 2524243Supports a Wide Range of ApplicationsRefined operability and sophisticated dedicated software support multiple types of analysis, including SSCP analysis, DD method, and various types of blotting methods, covering a wide range of experiments. Wide Scanning Area Enables Increased Efficiency of AnalysisThe FMBIO has the largest scanning area (400mm x 550mm) available on the market. A single scan can include many samples on one image facilitating mapping and other large-scale analyses. |
