DescriptionsiRNA Saigo - designs siRNA target duplexes using the Saigo ruleset. Target is then BLAST'ed against NCBI to evaluate its homology.

NOTE: Perl 5.6 or newer, Bioperl 1.4 and siRNA.pm v1.9 must be installed to use this space. siRNA.pm is installed when you installed Bioperl. Also you have to download Genome to use as local BLAST database.

  1. ftp://ftp.ncbi.nih.gov/genomes/H_sapines/ OR
  2. Go to Start->Run and type"cmd"
  3. Type "ftp ftp.ncbi.nih.gov"
  4. Username is "anonymous" and password is your email address
  5. Type "cd genbank"
  6. Type "cd genomes"
  7. Type "cd H_sapiencs" (Case sensitive)(this is for Human Genome)
  8. Type "get hs_phase3.fna.gz"
(You can also use the other FTP software.)
